We decided to stay at a charming guesthouse in the heart of Varkala. the location is perfect, just a short walk away from the helipad, Coffee Temple, and the start of the cliff trail. the room was spacious and clean, with a comfortable seating area. the bathroom always had hot water, which was a nice touch. the staff were friendly and helpful, ensuring that our stay was enjoyable. the guesthouse also had great facilities, including a communal fridge and a comfortable chill-out seating area.

That there was no generator backup during a power outage, resulting in the bathroom being without water.

Great location just a short walk from the nearby cliff and beach with easy transport access too. the spacious, clean rooms are a fantastic value, and the friendly staff are eager to help with any need you may have. A communal fridge with refilling options is available as well as daily yoga class.

The lack of aircon may make some guests feel hot with apparent temperatures. the maintenance process can be shoddy at times with scarcity in power backup facilities, inferior rooms, and limited dining options which can make you search for another restaurant.

Terrible customer service from the new staff member. Made me and my colleagues feel unwelcome and acted as if it was an inconvenience to help us.
